Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of this 10-minute call?

This is a brief, personal introduction. It is designed to:

* Answer any initial questions you may have.

* Briefly outline the vision for a unified, statewide prayer gathering.

* Explain the simple ways your church can partner with the movement.

Who is organizing this event?

While the initial outreach was started by Pastor David Ax of Calvary Chapel Star, the NDP 2026 Leadership Team is a growing, non-denominational coalition of pastors and ministry leaders from across the Treasure Valley. Our goal is to have a team that reflects the beautiful diversity of the Body of Christ in Idaho.

Is this a political event?

No. This is a non-partisan, non-political event. Our only agenda is to unite the Church to pray for our leaders, our communities, our state, and our nation, in accordance with 1 Timothy 2:1-2.

What does "partnering" with the NDP involve?

At its core, partnership means you are with us in principle. Practically, it involves participating in ways that fit your church's unique strengths and passions. In addition to praying for the event and promoting it to your congregation, here are some key day-of opportunities for your teams:

* Lead in the Rotunda: We are looking for small acoustic worship teams (2-3 people) to provide 15-minute worship sets inside the Capitol Rotunda. These sets will provide a powerful atmosphere for a self-guided prayer journey happening throughout the day.

* Minister on the Sidewalk: Staff our outward-facing "How can we pray for you?" tent. This is a powerful opportunity for your prayer team to minister directly to the public on the Capitol grounds.

* Join the Unity Worship Team: Nominate your most gifted musicians and vocalists to be part of the multi-church worship team that will lead the main 6:00 PM gathering on the Capitol steps.

Why are you planning for 2026 now?

To build a true, statewide movement of prayer that is genuinely unified—not just branded as such—requires time. We are starting now to build authentic relationships with pastors like you, ensuring this event is built together, from the ground up, with a foundation of trust and shared vision.
